How to FIX a broken Yashica Electro 35. Full teardown and restoration
There's a few different Electro 35s, but they all follow the same basic principles and you'll find most of the same contents (with slightly alternative internal layouts), but how to fix them will be roughly the same. It's basically just mechanical zhuzhing. Clean it, adjust it, look after its guts and it'll be great. ACETONE: for cleaning, I say you can use Acetone: I mean yeah use it for the sticky stuff that won't come off, but be really careful with it as it can damage lenses and finishes. For general cleaning in the video I'm just using glass cleaner which I've sprayed into a dish and am just dipping cotton buds into. Spritz-spritz dippy-dippy wipey-wipe.
