Nikon D80 ERR +split gear pt 1
A common repair for the Nikon D80 is for the ERR message on the top LCD and usually a whirring noise with a stuck mirror partially up. It's caused by a split gear on the mirror motor and is easily replaced. Part 1 shows the disassembly and replacement of the gear with one purchased at online auction sites. Part 2 shows the reassembly of the camera.
