Fishing our home lake: Horsetooth Reservoir; Fishful Thinker TV (bass fishing)

Colorado's Horsetooth Reservoir has been our home lake since the late 90's so it stands to reason we'd fish it while filming for the inaugural season of Fishful Thinker TV, way back in 2008. The lake is infamous for the specific strain of smallmouth bass that were originally stocked in the 50's; they came from a stream-run strain of diminutive smallmouth that grow slowly and top out at 19-20", with a 16" being a legitimate solid catch here. Regardless of the relative size, the lessons and concepts to catch them are the same as their more normal sized cousins in other bodies of water.
