Illegal Mining threatens Johannesburg's future

The illegal mining crisis for the City of Johannesburg seems far from over. The University of Johannesburg's Professor Hennie Grobler is warning that the city faces infrastructure collapse due to illegal mining. Professor Grobler says that because of the amount of gold underneath the city's ground, the crisis could continue for up to 100 years, threatening the structural integrity of the metro's infrastructure.
