Walking the Wainwrights - Western Fells PLUS Scafell Pike & Lingmell CONGRATULATIONS - six people completed their 214th Wainwright on this walking week! We hiked all 33 summits featured in Book Seven of Wainwright’s Pictorial Guide to the Lakeland Fells (Western Fells) in seven days (and eight walks) in the Lake District, 11th - 17th May 2025. We then finished the week (18th May 2025) on Lingmell and Scafell Pike where six of our group completed their 214th Wainwright! Watch this momentus occasion at 19:26 Scafell Pike and Lingmell are part of the Southern Fells, but we were prevented from completing these mountains during our Southern Fells walking week due to gale force winds, so we added it on to the end of the Western Fells week. We also thought Scafell Pike, the highest mountain in England, was a very fitting way to end our Wainwrights Walks.
