Ámsterdam declara la guerra al pepperoni: prohibidos anuncios de carne, coches y vuelos

The city of Amsterdam has decided to take another step in its climate crusade: from May 1, 2026, advertising for meat, combustion engine cars, flights, and cruises will be banned in public spaces. This measure makes the Dutch capital the first major city in the world to officially prohibit this type of advertising as a climate and public health tool. The change was approved through an amendment to the 2008 General Local Ordinance and affects bus shelters, metro stations, trams, billboards, and any other advertising visible from public spaces.
