Festa do Círio de Nazaré: samba e devoção

"Festa do Círio de Nazaré" was composed for the Unidos de São Carlos carnival in 1975. Despite the parade not going well, the samba became a classic and was re-released in 2004 by Unidos do Viradouro. In Belém, during the Círio festivities, it became a recurring song in cultural performances and even in tributes within the pilgrimage itself on the second Sunday of October. Its verses move the devout people of Pará and immortalize the memory and voice of Dominguinhos do Estácio. #ciriodenazare #carnaval
