The Pilgrim Image, which is presented to the faithful today during the official pilgrimages of the Círio de Nazaré in Belém, Pará, was sculpted in 1969 by the Italian Vincenzo Giacomo Mussner. It was commissioned by Father Miguel Giambelli, then parish priest of the Basilica of Nazaré. This video was created at the invitation of the writer and poet from Pará, Mízar Bonna, author of several books about this great religious manifestation in Pará. She closely followed the commissioning of the small wooden sculpture that is the center of attention during the month of October.
