National Railway Museum York – Station Hall Reopens (POV Walkthrough)

Join me for a full POV walk-through of the National Railway Museum in York — filmed on September 26th, the same day the newly refurbished Station Hall reopened to the public. Built in the 1870s, Station Hall was once York’s main goods station and remained in use until the 1960s. Now beautifully restored and reimagined, it tells the story of how railways shaped everyday life, featuring historic locomotives, carriages, and scenes from a century of railway history. This video has no narration — it’s a relaxed, immersive walkthrough so you can enjoy the atmosphere of the museum just as if you were there. It also marks two major milestones: 50 years of the National Railway Museum and 200 years of the modern railway — a celebration of the people, machines, and stories that made Britain the home of the railway.
