The Best of British Steam Trains 2025 - The Bicentennial Year of the Railways

In September 1825 The Stockton and Darlington Railway became the very first modern railway to be built using steam locomotives and 200 years down the line the world would celebrate Railway 200, the UK being a big player to the celebrations with a number of events across the mainline/heritage scene, and so i present my contributions to the year with 79 clips across 66 minutes on my best captures this year! 2025 has been a rather difficult year mainly caused by the extended periods of hot and warm weather forcing a lot of mainline and heritage railways to use diesels or be outright cancelled altogether, either side of Summer has seen an intensive program with some locomotives bowing out for overhauls and also seeing some returnees Alas its a farewell to now for 45596 'Bahamas', 46100 'Royal Scot', Black 5 45212 & 7029 'Clun Castle' and now welcoming 71000 'Duke of Gloucester', 35005 'Canadian Pacific', 60163 'Tornado', 5029 'Nunney Castle' and the mainline return of 34028 'Eddystone' A massive thank you to everyone i've met on my travels this year whilst outing filming for thier fine company and banter as well as the intensive days away from home filming Enjoy 2026 and wishing all well!
