WWE Monday Night RAW emanated from the Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey, as the fallout from Night of Champions officially kicked off the road to SummerSlam. Major SummerSlam matches were made official, rivalries intensified, and WWE completely reshaped the championship landscape heading into its biggest event of the summer. The biggest story coming out of RAW was Oba Femi making the shocking decision to postpone his King of the Ring World Championship opportunity after Brock Lesnar blindsides him with a low blow and an F-5, leading Oba to challenge The Beast to a Hell in a Cell Match at SummerSlam. Brock accepted, and Oba announced that he would wait until after SummerSlam to cash in the World Championship opportunity he earned by winning King of the Ring. WWE also officially set Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins for SummerSlam after Seth delivered one of the best promos of his career, reminding Roman that he has been his greatest rival ever since The Shield broke apart. Roman admitted Seth was right and accepted the challenge, setting up one of the biggest matches WWE can make. Elsewhere on the show, Iyo Sky officially chose Liv Morgan as her SummerSlam opponent after winning Queen of the Ring, while Liv insisted Danhausen's curse cost her the tournament before standing tall following a Judgment Day assault. Chad Gable continued rebuilding his momentum by defeating JD McDonagh despite repeated interference from Dominik Mysterio, while Danhausen once again got the last laugh by causing Dominik's stolen money to explode in Judgment Day's faces. Other major moments included Rey Mysterio defeating Ethan Page, Joe Hendry defeating Austin Theory after another concert celebration with The Street Profits, Jimmy Uso defeating LA Knight before Solo Sikoa returned to attack Jimmy, Raquel Rodriguez becoming the new No. 1 Contender to the Women's Intercontinental Championship, and Maxxine Dupri finally apologizing to Chad Gable as Austin Theory questioned the future of their relationship.
