EP. 17 | Epic 2-night solo adventure around the Magnetawan Loop in Algonquin on a paddle-board
Fair Warning: I’m just a guy with a camera and a dream—neither of which qualify as professional advice. This video exists purely for entertainment purposes and to prove to my future self that I actually did things. Please remember that "because a YouTuber did it" is not a valid legal defense or a sound life strategy. If you’re looking for actual guidance, please consult an expert—or at least someone who owns a suit. ************** The Magnetawan Loop...I was hooked from the moment I watched the first episode of the Trailguide Pictures series, which was a 6-day journey to conquer the route off of Access Point 3, located on the western edge of Algonquin Park. The 30km route included navigating the beginning stretch of the Petawawa River, a personal record 2435m portage, seeing a moose!!…and a return home fighting the headwinds and big waters of Ralph Bice Lake. The biggest challenge so far for the SUP paddleboard in the backcountry! I didn't have the luxury of having 6 days to complete the 30km route, so it's all packed into an action filled weekend. Plenty of wildlife, pristine swimming spots, and lots more on Episode 17 of my camping adventures in this wilderness paradise called Ontario, Canada. Enjoy! *** I'm privileged to be able to follow the footsteps and paddle strokes of some of these guys and gals who came before me, and documented their routes in such great detail. I couldn't have done this trip (and others) without the work of other backcountry filmmakers in the community.
