This Texas Couple Saw a Motel's "For Sale" Sign in the Middle of Nowhere and Said Yes.

Everybody's been on a road trip that goes awry. This is the story of Nick and Sarah Ryza, newfound owners of the renovated and eclectic Desert Air Motel in Far West Texas. While attempting to exit I-10 and bring their kids into Big Bend National Park, Sarah instead found her family in the small town of Sanderson, Texas. They were spontaneously reminded of the distinctly nostalgic joy experienced at retro roadside motels and felt compelled by the fated "for sale" sign out front. Today, they're sharing that vintage motor lodge charm with travelers just like them. The Ryzas have connected with locals, offered their children bits of a small town Texas upbringing, and revitalized part of a historically deserted community. It's incredible to find where the back roads of Texas may take you, too.
