The decline in the price of fresh fruit bunches (FFB) of oil palm in several regions has led farmers and business owners to question the cause. In response, Deputy Minister of Agriculture Sudaryono convened palm oil industry players, farmer associations, and the Indonesian National Police Food Task Force for a coordination meeting in Jakarta on Tuesday (May 26, 2026). During the meeting, the government revealed that the decline in palm oil prices was triggered by market concerns and uncertainty related to the implementation of the one-stop export policy through PT Danantara Sumber Daya Indonesia (DSI). The Ministry of Agriculture also identified 139 palm oil mills (PKS) that had lowered their FFB purchase prices, ranging from IDR 50 to IDR 1,200 per kilogram. The government emphasized that PT DSI was not profiting from palm oil export transactions and ensured that export activities would continue as normal during the transition period.
