Led by: Renata Higersberger This lecture will explore the research into the reconstruction of Ignacy Korwin-Milewski's collection. The author will present the methods used to search for paintings and the greatest discoveries accompanying the process of restoring this exceptional collection. She will also discuss the many years of preparation for an exhibition devoted to this distinguished collector and patron of Polish art. Renata Higersberger is an art historian and curator of the Collection of Polish Painting until 1914 at the National Museum in Warsaw. She is the author and co-author of numerous exhibitions, including "The Artist: Anna Bilińska 1854–1893" (2021) and "Olga Boznańska 1865–1940" (2015). She conducts research and publishes works on Polish painting from the second half of the 19th and early 20th centuries, primarily the Young Poland period, and on women's artistic education at Parisian universities. She is also the author of monographs on the collector Ignacy Korwin-Milewski.
