North Maluku Governor Sherly Tjoanda highlighted the information about overseas job opportunities presented at the 2026 North Maluku Job Fair. Upon hearing the presentation of hundreds of job openings in several countries with salaries ranging from IDR 8 million to IDR 30 million per month, Sherly immediately requested assurance that the program was truly from an authorized agency in partnership with the government. Addressing the participants, Sherly requested that the committee ensure cooperation with the Ministry of Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers (P2MI) before the program was widely promoted. She also reminded the public to only participate in the placement process through authorized partners and not to be easily tempted by offers from unauthorized parties.
