【京都一周トレイル】京北コース：京都最北の秘境へ！静寂の里山を巡る

We hiked the Keihoku Course of the Kyoto Trail during the fresh green season. Keihoku sits in the northwestern corner of Kyoto, about an hour's drive from the city — a region of dense forests and peaceful rural scenery. The route is a roughly 35km loop starting from the former Hosono Elementary School. This time we went clockwise, the opposite direction from our previous hike. Along the way we took in some of Keihoku's best highlights: Jōshōkōji Temple, renowned for its cherry blossoms; sweeping views from a paraglider launch site; and the beautiful Takimata Falls and stone Buddha trail.
