The Total Renovation of Tracks on the Retiro - Tigre Branch of the Mitre Line has begun. On Saturday, February 22, 2025, work finally began on 3 sectors: San Fernando - Tigre and the Olivos and La Lucila station blocks. It is about completely renovating the tracks between Nuñez and Tigre, which date back to 1980, and where the average speed of circulation in that sector is 30 km/h. For 10 days there will be no train service (until 4/3), where work will then continue at night so as not to interrupt the service for longer. The total duration of the work will be approx. 2 years.
