3 Belligerent Women Caught Shoplifting from Lululemon
On March 31, 2025, Hoboken Police Officers responded to a theft in progress call at the Lululemon store. The suspects were able to flee before the first officers arrived, but the sales associates were able to get a vehicle description and license plate number. An officer on bicycle patrol located the suspect's vehicle and radioed for a marked police vehicle to initiate a traffic stop. All 3 suspects, ages 20 to 24-years-old, denied being involved. A sales associate from Lululemon was transported to the scene of the traffic stop and positively identified the women as the shoplifters. All three were arrested, which set off a belligerent protest, especially from the 20-year-old who was driving the vehicle. $466 worth of stolen merchandise was recovered from the vehicle. The women were transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters, where they were charged with shoplifting. The driver was also charged with conspiracy. She was released with a summons, while the 2 women who actually went inside the store were transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility. All suspects are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
