Catch & Cook Clams at Pismo State Beach

We travelled to Oceano to do our first catch and cook. The clams were plentiful as they have been on a comeback in recent years in the Pismo Beach and Oceano Dunes area. However, it took some effort to find legal size clams among the numerous undersized clams. Once we captured what we needed, we shucked and cleaned the clams on the beach. Then, Ginger prepared them for stuffed clams. Gin’s “stuffies” turned out delicious!
