Offroad in Unimog - Dhofar - Oman - Beemog playing in the mud in a field with camels ! 4K

🇫🇷 Après deux journées magnifiques dans un spot bivouac de rêve, sur la route de Dalkhut, aux confins du Sultanat d’Oman et tout proches de la frontière avec le Yémen, lorsqu’est arrivée l’heure de quitter notre champ au milieu des arbres, des vaches et des dromadaires, une surprise de taille nous attendait : la pluie ! De fortes averses sont tombées pendant la nuit rendant le chemin d’accès jusqu’à la route difficilement praticable pour notre Beemog et ses 10 tonnes ! Le chemin de terre une fois mouillé est une patinoire ; Beemog un éléphant chaussé de patins à glace. Le moindre dévers l’entraîne dans un dérapage pas du tout contrôlé et le moindre faux plat devient une montagne à gravir ! Gilles et Beemog vont batailler dans la boue sous le regard amusé et moqueur des dromadaires … Ils vont s’en sortir au prix d’un bel effort. En souvenir, un chemin joliment labouré … Hello ! Nous, c'est Muriel et Gilles, partis de France en octobre 2023 pour un tour du monde par étapes, sans date de fin, avec notre Beemog, un Unimog 2150 de 1996, transformé en camion d'expédition. 🇺🇸 After two magnificent days in a dreamy bivouac spot, on the road to Dalkhut, in Dhofar, Sultanate of Oman and close to the border with Yemen, when the time arrived to leave our field among the trees, cows and camels, a big surprise awaited us : rain! Heavy showers fell during the night making the access path to the road hardly passable for our Beemog and its 10 tonnes! The dirt road once wet is an ice rink ; Beemog an elephant wearing ice skates. The slightest slope leads to an uncontrolled skid and the slightest climb becomes a mountain ! Gilles and Beemog will battle in the mud under the amused and mocking gaze of the camels... They will get through it with a lot of effort. In memory, a beautifully plowed path… Hello ! We are Muriel and Gilles, from France. We left France in October 2023 to travel Far East, in a trip around the World with stopovers allowing us to fly home to work a little and visit family and friends. The plan is to travel as long as we can and visit as much countries as we are able to ! We travel in our Beemog, an old (1996) and refurbished Unimog 2150, that is now our ‘Home Sweet Home’ for this trip.
