Creating A Replacement Galaxy's Edge Lightsaber Blade Controller

I want to create a replacement controller for Galaxy's Edge lightsaber blades; one that will respect the orange and cyan ignite commands as well as build into it extra, special effects. My current version is working and I've added some interesting effects to it, but it's not quite ready for prime time. In this video I go over my current design, where it doesn't quite work, and how I plan (hope) to fix it.
