Panasonic vs P-50 & siren death
Check out my website! - https://sites.google.com/view/warning... The failure was caused by a small crack in the chopper that must have gone unnoticed by anyone. P-50/Cyclone choppers are 2 feet in diameter which is extremely big for something spinning 60 times per second. As the siren was being “bumped” to full speed during attack and the various times throughout the run, we suspect the repeated rapid changes in centrifugal force caused the crack to grow until it finally cracked the chopper in half, at which point it lodged itself against the stator and came to a dead stop. The motor was still warm to the touch about an hour and a half after this happened when we took it apart, so the motor may have sustained some damage in the process.
