BLESSING IN DISGUISE

Blessing In Disguise Blessing In Disguise is an acoustic ballad about a man finally waking up to the fact that his wife has been seeing another man. Discovering the truth is painful, but as the title suggests, what initially seems like the end of his world may eventually prove to be a blessing in disguise. Sometimes it takes betrayal to make us realise that a relationship has already run its course and that walking away may be the beginning of something better. Musically, I wanted to keep the arrangement centred around the acoustic guitar and let the song tell its story without unnecessary embellishment. One aspect of the recording I am particularly proud of is the bottleneck slide guitar. I have always loved the expressive quality of slide guitar, and I felt it suited the mood of this song particularly well. Of all the instrumental parts I have recorded over the years, this is one performance I am especially pleased with.
