I Woke Up at 4AM for One of Singapore's Hardest Group Rides – CCP5
Follow me as I wake up at 4AM to tackle Singapore's most legendary group ride - CCP5! Starting in pitch black darkness at 5AM, this ride plays 0 games! What I expected versus what I encountered were two completely different things - from miraculously hitting every green light to chopping off on motorways with expats, locals, and racers all throwing down together. I don't think I have ever sweated so much on a ride in my entire life - every crevice of my body was dripping in Singapore's relentless humidity! After surviving the chaos of CCP5, a few of us headed over to Sentosa before grabbing some famous Malay breakfast and a proper Milo (haven't had one of those since I was a kid!). The locals definitely have their early morning system figured out, and it took some serious adjustment for this heat-loving Australian. This ride showcased everything that makes Singapore's cycling community such a distinctive experience. And the perfect reward after surviving CCP5's brutal intensity? Discovering why that post-ride hawker centre food at Maxwell Food Centre tastes so incredible after a proper thrashing! I'm absolutely stoked to be sharing this international cycling journey with you all. This CCP5 experience is just the beginning - I've got more ambitious cycling adventures planned that will take you deeper into Singapore's cycling culture and stunning landscapes. If you enjoyed this taste of Singapore's hardcore cycling scene, be sure to stick around! The videos will only get better from here as I explore what makes riding with the world's toughest cycling communities truly special. Hope you enjoyed this sweaty ride!
