Indian Valley Reservoir is a special must-see place for any overlander. #overland #camping #indianvalley Nestled just above Clearlake in the north Bay Area, the scenic drive into the reservoir is lined with picturesque rural snapshots that feel like your a thousand miles away from urban chaos of the SF Bay Area when just a few hours north. The drive in is about 45 minutes of twisty dusty roads. Trust plays a big factor when rolling in 9 rigs deep and it helps I got chase lights hooked up right before the trip. You can’t go wrong on any campsite along the shore of the reservoir. All have unreal views. We met up with another group (Cambolanders) who we also rolled with up Bald Mountain last year were able to get out to Indian Valley Reservoir Friday morning to find this amazing spot.
