OH MY JOB! : Product Owner

In this new episode of OH MY JOB!, Sarah shares (with a smile) her role as Product Owner at Studapart. Creativity, freedom, innovation, teamwork, interpersonal skills, diversity, enrichment... Sarah has no shortage of adjectives to describe her daily life. Specifically, during product development, the Product Owner is responsible for ensuring that the final result always meets the client's needs. They regularly balance operational aspects (feature testing, meetings with technical teams, grooming, etc.) with strategic aspects (checking progress with partners, product vision, etc.). To achieve this, they rely on the Agile methodology, based on iteration, short-term objectives, and a central focus on the client. What does Sarah enjoy most about being a Product Owner? "Identifying a user problem and then finding solutions to resolve it." This requires knowing how to challenge yourself to meet deadlines, while also knowing how to balance the various challenges you face. The Product Owner works closely with the technical team, responsible for developing and testing the product. They also communicate with the support and sales teams, who are in direct contact with users and therefore represent an important source of feedback. "There is no typical profile for a Product Owner," according to Sarah, although many business school graduates with a geeky bent or engineers who want to work in project management fill this role.
