Jac J2 - Confiável?
JAC J2 - Reliable? Today on the channel, we're featuring the JAC J2, a small, complete, and inexpensive Chinese car. Best of all, it's a 1.4L vehicle, so we can expect it to be a peppy car. Stay until the end, and I'll share all my impressions of the model. We'll talk about its performance, its finish (which has some surprises), its surprisingly spacious interior, its engine, and finally, whether it's still worth owning one in 2022. Is it a lemon? Does it have problems? Does it break down a lot? Are spare parts available? These and other questions will be answered throughout the video, so stay tuned! And before the review, our traditional thanks to the car's owner, Tatiana, who lent us this unit so we could film this interesting example. Tati, thank you very much! Starting our review from the front, we have a front end that looks almost like an anime character, with bulging eyes and a grille that acts as a mouth that seems to smile at us. But leaving the playful part aside and being more objective, we have simple parabolic headlights, okay for the category, and fog lights, the first good surprise of the model. But we'll see that throughout the review we'll have other surprises, and incredibly, most of them are good news about the model. Of course, there are a few minor flaws; whether that's enough to ruin the model's charm is up to you to decide. The hood is tiny, contributing to the model being one of the smallest ever tested by the channel. On the side, the highlight is the windows which, like in the Fiesta, have an inclination that makes the rear higher than the front. Visually, it looks good, even more so with the crease that starts in the middle of the driver's door and goes to the rear bumper. Another detail is this sticker on the C-pillar that gives the sensation of a floating roof. The mirrors are painted, as are the door handles, but the turn signal repeater is on the fender. And here's an interesting detail: this VVT technology is the same one Toyota used in older Corollas, which is similar to Honda's VTEC. When I talk about the engine, I'll give more details about it. The wheels are alloy, and they are fitted with 175/60 R14 tires. Looking at them in person, they seem even smaller, but for the size of the car, I think they are adequate. Its brakes have the standard setup of ventilated discs at the front and drums at the rear. Its suspension is also standard, being independent McPherson type at the front and torsion beam at the rear. The rear, in this segment, the chance of seeing something different from this is close to zero. Moving to the rear, here's where some of the model's biggest blunders are. First, the design of the taillights—did you like them? Seriously, comment on the video because I want to know if it was just me who didn't like them. Another blunder I saw here is that there's only a defroster; there's no rear wiper. On a hatchback, this should be mandatory by law, given its dynamics in the rain, which dirties the entire windshield and significantly impairs visibility. There's also a mention of a spoiler above the rear window and reverse sensors, and since we're here, let's see what the trunk is like. Starting with the opening, it can be done with a button on the floor similar to what we see in the Corolla OR with the key directly on the trunk lid; we don't have remote opening here. Inside, everything is lined, even the base where the luggage rests. The seat, although upholstered in the back, isn't split; its space is limited, only 121 liters, the smallest ever filmed by the channel. The fact that the opening is a bit high makes loading bulky items even more difficult. But let's be fair, this is a compact car; its purpose is to fit in any parking space and get you around large urban centers quickly, not to carry the family's luggage. You might think, with a trunk this size, we'll have a temporary spare tire, right? Wrong. Incredibly, it's not an alloy wheel, but a tire the same size as the others; they managed to fit a decent spare tire in here. Regarding dimensions, what we have here is a car that is 3.53 meters long, with a wheelbase of 2.39 meters, a height of 1.47 meters, and a width of 1.64 meters, one of the smallest ever tested here. With these numbers, its interior space must have been compromised, right? Let's see. For all the details, watch the complete video of the JAC J2 - Reliable?
