David Houle, globally known Futurist, presents his inspiring vision of our “Spaceship Earth” and the convergence of art, design, and technology. Houle’s historical account of the evolution of art and innovation, paralleled with his far-seeing perspective, foretells the essential role of designers and technologists for our future. David is a globally known futurist, speaker and author who has spoken on all six continents. He spent 20 years in media and entertainment, helping to create and launch MTV, VH1, Nickelodeon, and CNN Headline News. He has won two Emmys, a Peabody and was nominated for an Academy Award. Author of seven books he is the Futurist in Residence at the Ringling College of Art + Design This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
