Why guitarists hate the key of A (they use the wrong chords)

Playing in the key of A on guitar, is awesome, though often misunderstood! I recently polled my Youtube subscribers on their favorite keys for playing fingerstyle guitar, and only 20% of those who participated in the poll favor playing out of the key of A. Which doesn't surprise me, but it gave me some incentive to highlight some of the great things about playing in the key of A on guitar. This is a part one in an eight part series called Alphabetical Blues, where we look at all of the common key shapes, as well as some often overlooked keys that are contextually important for fingerstyle guitar.
