Why the "People's Chord" was erased from music history.

The guitar has always been an instrument of the people. Going way back to its oldest relatives, and looking ahead to where it's going, the guitar positions itself with the common person. But over the last few decades something shifted in the way guitar was taught. With the adoption of guitar pedagogy in the schools, went the disappearance of one of the most powerful chords that guitar players have always used. This video is an exploration in "the peoples chord". Where this chord went, why folks played it, as well as some of the best practices in some of the techniques I use to play this chord.
