EV Station Charging EUC Setup β‘π + Golden Hour Ride on Begode Race π π + Insane Wipeout π³π
There are few things better than a warm summer evening in the Pacific Northwest, and the golden hour made it impossible to stay home. The Begode Race was fully charged and too tempting, so we headed out for a sunset cruise. First stop was Port Angeles Harbor to check out marathon weekend preparations, with the city glowing under the mountains and waterfront. While there, we met a local rider on a Tifgalop K8 scooter. On paper itβs a 60V dual motor Chinese scooter, but in reality it absolutely rips, especially with its racing tires and dialed setup. One conversation later we had a new rider joining the evening. Soon after, JD rolled in on his Leaperkim Sherman-L and the squad was almost complete. With the sun dropping, we rode to Ediz Hook Beach Park. Conditions were perfect tailwind, smooth pavement, ocean views, and one of the best sunsets of the season. A little run on the long straight was so much fun, and the Begode Race delivered again with insane stability and power that keeps impressing every ride. After sunset we hit the usual gas station snack stop, then moved to an EV charger to show how we power EUCs and scooters using a J1772 to NEMA adapter which is one of the most useful tools for long range PEV adventures. On the way down, our new rider Forevergreen added himself to the highlight reel with a corner entry carrying too much speed, resulting in a memorable scooter wipeout. Luckily it ended in soft grass with no injuries or damage. Quick laugh, gear check, and we were rolling again. A good reminder to ride within limits and stay geared up. Also switched up the music style for this one based on feedback. Next up is a 500 km Begode Race review covering what we love, what could be improved, and whether it lives up to the hype. For now though... wow. Begode Race. What a machine. β€οΈβ‘ πΊοΈ Route β’ Olympic Discovery Trail β’ Port Angeles Harbor waterfront β’ Marathon event setup area β’ Downtown Waterfront β’ Ediz Hook Beach Park β’ Harbor speed run section β’ Favorite snack stop AMPM on 8th Street β’ Public EV charging station at City Hall β’ Return through Port Angeles π Highlights Terrain: Waterfront roads, city streets, smooth pavement Distance: ~20β30 km / 12β18 miles Conditions: Warm summer evening, low wind, spectacular sunset Stunning golden hour sunset π New riding buddy joins the squad π€ Ediz Hook speed run β‘ Public EV charging demonstration π Scooter wipeout of the year candidate π New music style debut π΅ β‘ Ride Stats EUC: Begode Race Motor: 5000W nominal / up to 32,000W peak high performance race tuned system with extreme acceleration Battery: 3800Wh Samsung 50S cells, 210V architecture Top Speed: ~130 km/h / 81 mph Range: Up to ~200 km / 125 miles per charge Charging: Ultra fast charging up to 20A Suspension: 80mm adjustable performance suspension Pedals: Height adjustable racing pedals Tire: 20 inch racing tubeless tire Weight: 46 kg / 101 lbs Water Resistance: IP67 Ride Feel: Race focused, incredibly stable at speed, absurd acceleration, and enough power overhead to make most EUCs feel tame π³β‘ EUC: Leaperkim Sherman-L Motor: High performance torque motor Battery: 4000Wh / 151V Top Speed: ~100 km/h / 62 mph Range: ~200 km / 124 miles Suspension: ~90mm adjustable suspension Ride Feel: Long-range monster and stair-sending machine Scooter: Tifgalp K8 Motor: Dual Bafang S300 hub motors (3000W Γ 2 / ~6000W peak) Battery: 60V 38Ah Samsung lithium-ion (~2280Wh) Top Speed: ~100 km/h / 62 mph (3-speed mode) Range: ~100β110 km / 62β68 miles Suspension: Front & rear dual shock suspension (off-road tuned, ~90mm class travel feel) Tires: 12" tubeless off-road vacuum tires Brakes: Dual hydraulic disc brakes (front + rear) Climb Ability: Up to ~45Β° incline Weight: ~53 kg / 117 lbs Max Load: ~250 kg / 550 lbs Charging Time: ~6β10 hours πΆ Soundtrack Beats powered by QUADPRIME MUSIC β https://music.quadpri.me π Accessories Find the EV Adapter J1772 to Nema 5-15 Plug here β https://go.q46.net/A3E1/ Find the Inmotion P6 here β https://go.q46.net/A2B0/ Find the Leaperkim Patton-S here β https://go.q46.net/A2C0/ Find the Leaperkim Lynx-S here β https://go.q46.net/A2C4/ Find the Leaperkim Sherman-L here β https://go.q46.net/A2C2/ Find the best selection of PEV's and accessories here β https://wattarush.q46.net/shop/ π Online β https://wattarush.q46.net (Affiliate Disclosure: Some links are affiliate links, meaning we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.)
