A Prayer for Your Child's Future Spouse: Before You Even Know Their Name 💍

A guided prayer for your child's future spouse, before you even know their name. 🤍 Mother, somewhere in the world tonight, there is a person your child has not met yet. The one they may one day marry. Being shaped right now, in a home you will never see. And you have wondered about them: whether they will be kind, whether they will love God, whether they will cherish your child or break the heart you have guarded since the very first day. Wherever this hour found you, morning, afternoon, or late at night, stay here. This prayer is for you. In 13 minutes, I carry 3 specific things before the Father: 1. The future spouse you have never met: that wherever they are tonight, God would be shaping them to love your child well, and to love Him first. 2. Your own child in the waiting: that God would prepare them to be the right person, not only to find one, and guard their heart from the wrong one. 3. The joining itself: the marriage you long to see built on Christ, and the fear that the wrong person could pull your child away from the faith you prayed over them. Scripture says in Psalm 37:4-5, "Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this." Hear what it does not say. It does not say name the person and demand that God deliver them. It says commit the way. And hear the last three words: He will do this. Not you. You cannot build your child's marriage. He can. And He already knows the one you are praying for. We then declare 7 things over you and over the child whose future marriage you are placing in His hands: declarations, not requests.
