The crime that shocked Milhã, Ceará, 28 years ago, still resonates in the city. Ivaneide, a mother of four, was murdered as she left work on a rainy night. Francisco Nivaldo Domingos was identified as the murderer after buying a knife shortly before the crime. Initially arrested, he escaped, remaining a fugitive until he was located in Rondônia. In 2018, the Public Prosecutor's Office reopened the case. Francisco confessed to the homicide in 2023, but due to the lack of a femicide law at the time, he will be tried for aggravated homicide. Aleson Bruno, the victim's son, is fighting for the conviction of the guilty party, participating as an assistant prosecutor in the process.
