Secret Jumpline Trail in San Jose / How Big Booty Chris Convinced Me to Hit a 25 Foot Ladder Drop!

Out of respect for the Trail Builders, I was asked not to name, disclose location or film the beginning or end of the trail. All I can say is this place is bad ass. Big props to the trail builders everything was built perfectly. Some of the stuff was definitely above my pay grade and I was just stoked to check it out. If you know where this place is please dont name the trail in the comments. On the way home from NorCal we stopped in San Jose to hit a Secret Jumpline that a local invited us to. We were warned that the features were really big so Chris was the only one who wanted to hit it. I only came along so I could film Chris. We saw videos of the ladder drop and I know that the camera can never capture how big features are in real life but I was still blown away at how much bigger that ladder drop was in real life. When I first saw it the first thing that came into my mind was hell no. Theres no way I would take that. I was even unsure if Chris would take it blind without a tow in. But of course he took and stomped the landing so clean. He then proceeded to talk me into trying it. I have no idea how it happened but eventually he convinced me that I could do it. I am deathly afraid of heights and I couldn't even walk to the end of the ladder, how the hell was I going to jump off of it? This ladder was over 15 feet tall and the landing was 25 feet out, I have sent drops and gaps over 25 feet long before but this one was much higher and landing was much smaller so this was definitely the scariest feature I have ever attempted. After watching Chris hit it a 2nd time and calming me down I was ready to send it. To my surprise the I didn't freak out in the air, I was able to see my landing and stomped it. I was so stoked I forgot about the step up after the drop and cased it. Somehow Chris was able to convince me to hit it a 2nd time and clean both features. I was so stoked. This feature really pumped me up and gave me a lot more confidence in myself. I am so grateful to have such a bad ass riding buddy like Chris who always pushes me to get better.
