I Ran My First Marathon at 59... in One of the World's Most Beautiful Cities

For years now I have been wanting to run a marathon. At nearly 60 years old, I finally stood on the starting line of the Stockholm Marathon for the very first time. This isn't just another race recap. It's a complete documentary of the entire journey—from the excitement before the start to the toughest moments on the course, the emotional highs and lows, and the memorable finish. Along the way, you'll also experience one of Europe's most beautiful marathon courses (as far as I understand it). Running through the heart of Stockholm, we pass historic streets, waterfront views, parks, bridges, and many of the city's most iconic landmarks. Whether you're a runner, planning to visit Stockholm, or simply enjoy inspiring stories, I hope you'll feel like you're running every step beside me. 🏃 Marathon distance: 42.2 km (26.2 miles) 📍 Race: Stockholm Marathon 🇸🇪 Location: Stockholm, Sweden What are your experiences running Stockholm Marathon or other marathons? Any recommendations for a second marathon for me? :) Please share in the comment section.
