IS THIS CHEATING?? The "30 rate 20"

My 2nd attempt at the Sub7 Indoor Rowing Club's February team challenge, 30 minutes at stroke rate 20. Unlike my first attempt earlier this month, a PB in which I hit exactly 600 strokes, I intentionally went against the spirit of the test today, aiming for 624 strokes (which would still show up as r20 on the pace monitor), to see what the difference would be. Test piece done on February 27th, 2025, 1:44.2 average pace/500m for a total of 8637 meters. Not a personal best, but turned out to be a solid training piece. If you're an avid indoor rower who's yet to join a club, consider joining Sub7! We've got rowers of all ages, abilities, and experience levels from all around the world; many with on-water backgrounds, and others who picked up indoor rowing later in life. It's an incredibly supportive community of indoor rowing enthusiasts who enjoy sharing training progress / personal bests and competing in various competitions (virtual and in-person) throughout the year. Don't let the name fool you, there's no minimum skill level, cost, or minimum commitment required -- you get what you put in!
