Especial FIFA International Soccer e FIFA Soccer | Stargame Multishow
A special from the Stargame program showcasing FIFA in all the versions that existed up until 1995 (including the 3DO version). Released globally starting December 15, 1993, with expanded debuts on other platforms throughout 1994, the game is a soccer simulation title developed by Extended Play Productions (a division of EA Canada) and published by Electronic Arts, distinguishing itself at the time by its isometric perspective as opposed to the traditional side or aerial views of the period. Regional and Platform Differences The base version for the 16-bit Mega Drive (Sega Genesis) console featured a static isometric camera with the use of two-dimensional sprites to represent the athletes on the field. Upon being transposed to personal computers (PC DOS), the title received technical improvements focused on clarity, such as support for SVGA monitor resolutions and the implementation of spoken narration and sound effects made possible by expansion sound cards. The most complex technological transition recorded occurred on the 3DO Interactive Multiplayer console. This edition replaced the two-dimensional base with an engine capable of rendering the stadium in three dimensions, adopting a dynamic camera that automatically altered viewing angles to follow the progression of the plays. Additionally, the storage format on optical media (CD-ROM) made possible the introduction of high-fidelity audio and video clips of real matches. Although not shown in the video, the game was also released for the SNES and launched later, reaching the market in 1994. Regarding differences, on the SNES, despite having a wider color palette, it presented softer and less "vivid" tones, but the audio offered higher fidelity, with cleaner and more orchestral sounds. Regarding gameplay, on the SNES it was more paced, altering the physics of the ball and the responsiveness of the controls, which generated divided opinions among purists. The Sega Game Gear version narrowed the field of view in relation to the ball due to the low screen resolution, reducing the amount of simultaneous element processing. The port for the Nintendo Game Boy sacrificed the color palette in its entirety and simplified the players' animations to ensure execution on the 8-bit cartridge. FIFA Soccer 95 is a soccer video game developed by Extended Play Productions and published by EA Sports exclusively for the Sega Mega Drive. Released in North America and Europe in November 1994, the title is the second installment in the franchise and introduced clubs from eight different national leagues, in addition to refinements in gameplay speed and passing based on the isometric view inherited from its predecessor. Trivia and Cultural Context for the Audience Cover with phrases in Brazilian Portuguese on the Japanese version: On the Japanese version of the SNES (Super Famicom), on the cover there are three phrases in Brazilian Portuguese: "VIBRAR" "COM A BOLA NO PÉ" and "É O CAMPEÃO". Who is Cristiano Gualda: This refers to the presenter in question of the Brazilian program called Stargame. He was present from the beginning of the program (June 3, 1995) until the end (August 31, 2000). The "Brazilian Teams" Fever: The inclusion of national clubs in FIFA 95 is treated as a major event by the presenter. This helped to solidify FIFA's dominance in the Brazilian market. 90s Glossary: The term "game maníaco" (game maniac) was the definitive slang for the hardcore gamer in Brazil in the 90s, vastly disseminated by videogame magazines and programs of the era, such as Stargame itself. 0:00 - Introduction: Cristiano Gualda and FIFA Soccer on the Game Gear 0:22 - FIFA International Soccer - Mega Drive / Sega Genesis 1:22 - FIFA International Soccer - GameGear 1:27 - FIFA International Soccer - PC 1:45 - FIFA Soccer '95 - Mega Drive / Sega Genesis 2:08 - Tips for FIFA Soccer '95 for Mega Drive / Sega Genesis On the options screen, perform the following sequences Dream team: A, A, B, B, C, C, A, A Team with super attack: A, A, A, A, A, B, C Team with super defense: B, B, B, B, B, C, B Penalty shootout: A, B, A, C, A, B Crazy ball: C, A, B, C, C, B, A, C Then return to the "Control" screen and press the A button to activate the cheats. 3:19 - FIFA International Soccer - 3DO 3:52 - FIFA International Soccer - Game Boy #FIFAInternationalSoccer #FIFASoccer95 #SegaGenesis #MegaDrive #3DO #NintendoGameBoy #SegaGameGear #Stargame #EASports #SoccerVideoGames #VideoGameHistory #16bitEra #RetroGaming #ClassicGaming #EA
