Did the UK ever actually send £350m a week to the EU?

Ten years after the Brexit referendum, one of the campaign’s most memorable slogans remains under scrutiny: “We send the EU £350 million a week, let’s fund our NHS instead.” According to Mark Dayan, Brexit Programme Lead at the Nuffield Trust, “It was a very exaggerated way of counting contributions to the EU that didn't count some of the money that we got back.” But did Brexit deliver a financial boost to the NHS?
