Mother 3 - Mind of a Thief (Folk/Rock Cover)

Follow me:   / jalopestl​     / jalopestl​   Composed by: Shogo Sakai Original idea for this came from listening to the first track on Paul McCartney's 1971 album Ram, "Too Many People" - I absolutely loved the acoustic guitar sound and how it really drove the rhythm of the tune, and I wanted to see if I could do something similar with a video game song. This one from Mother 3 immediately came to mind. Merged a few arrangement ideas from the McCartney tune with the melody and harmony of "Mind of a Thief", and voila! Just needed to make a quick purchase of a Lucas shirt to seal the deal for the video. It's a relatively simple arrangement, but I'm really happy with the sound of this one. Was also the first time I played/recorded drums myself on a video, which was difficult but super satisfying. Still have a lot to learn and practice, but I'm getting there!
