Its distinguishing feature is the conformation of its head, which has a very broad and convex forehead, making it unmistakable. The horns are drooping and directed backward, slightly outward, and with an upward curve. The ears are long and pendulous, ending in a point with a notch. The Katiawar Peninsula, in western India, is identified as its primary habitat. It is primarily a dairy breed. It actively participated in the development of the Red Brahman and Indubrasil breeds.
