Subscribers Request. VOR to ILS. California style

A Subscriber's request series. Flying IFR using XPlane C-172 with 210 hp engine with the xplane1000 (G1000) FQ40 does a one and done flight challenge from ‪@PilotSavvy‬ His channel displays his stylish flying in the DA50. Welcome to Mc Clellan Palomar airport in California. Today we're flying an IFR departure using a unique flight plan sent in to Flight Quest 40 by a subscriber. He shared this real-world-feasible route - a double approach to fly and I'm excited to bring it to life in X-Plane12.4. Approaches used consist of VOR A at KOKB Oceanside Muni and the ILS RWY 24 back into KCRQ Mc Clellan Palormar. For this flight, I created a flight route into Little Navmap. I used actual downloaded real-time weather, so you'll see X-Plane 12's (atmospheric rendering of weather and clouds at its best. This flight was MVFR with improving conditions. A huge Thank-you to ‪@PilotSavvy‬ for contributing this route and for being a dedicated subscribe to this ever-growing channel - where slow growth still counts and every viewer matters. I am pleased to fly in California via X-Plane 12.4. Great to share his enthusiasm of flight via home aviation simulators. Let's not forget about Austin Myers, Ben Supnik and committed team who make all this possible with X-Plane 12 and their continual innovations and conceptual applications into the world of home aviation simulators. ✈️ Aircraft: Laminar Cessna Skyhawk XP 210 HP 🌄 Airports: Mc Clellan (KCRQ) to Oceanside (KOKB) California 🛬 Approach: VOR A into KOKB and ILS 24 into KCRQ 🖥️ Simulator: X‑Plane 12 00:00 – Introduction 00:35 – Flight Briefing 32:15 – Taxi for departure 39:30 – Take-Off 48:00– Oceanside VOR A 1:00:00 – MDA Missed approach 1:14:00 - Landing RWY 24 1:24:00 – Landing RWY 24 Mc Clellan 45:50 – Turning to in-bound course VOR-Y 54:45– Airport in sight 57:00 – Landing 58:45 – Outro Honeycomb Bravo Throttle Quadrant Honeycomb Alpha Yoke ThrustMaster Rudder Pedals GeForce RTX 3080 Coffee cup Three 50-inch TVs mounted to wall.
