Ami Nustekar seaview restaurant, Colomb, South Goa, April 2026

Ami Nustekar Today Maria and I are going on quite a drive. We are going far south from Benaulim to Colomb, which is in Canacona, in Goa's new Kushavati district And we are going to a place called Ami Nustekar, for two reasons. One, it has a very nice setting by the beach in Colomb, and two, it has nice fish. And we are very hopeful that today being a Sunday, that there’ll be some nice crab for Maria Always part of the fun of going to Canacona is the beautiful drive whether going from the highway as we are, or along the coast, from where we’ll return. On the way, we enjoyed some fresh cashew niro Ami Nustekar restaurant is on the tiny Colomb beach. Wow, just check out the setting of this restaurant. What a fantastic view Maria has got us a great table. The sea breeze is so good! This is one of the biggest attractions of our beautiful Goa that you can get a table so close to the sea “We serves you Goan local authentic seafood thalis” “Enjoy the fresh urrak” It’s so nice to see a board like this in this part of Canacona which is full of places offering avocado toast, smoothie bowls and all kinds of international foods but hardly any Goan food So many types of Goan thalis at Ami Nustekar but also Goan chilli chicken, teesri and crab sukha. All kind of Goan fish and seafood in rechead, butter garlic, tawa or rawa fry, etc. Prawns plate with 10 prawns for Rs 450 is cheaper than what we pay our side. So nice to see urrak have pride of place on their menu. Guys, when you are in Palolem, Colomb, Patnem side, you want to have Goan food, come to Ami Nustekar in Colomb Today I'm having prawns thali and Maria took crab sukha What a lovely glass of urrak, perfectly served with chilli, lime and salt The thali has fried prawns, sol kari, teesri, dhavi bhaji, pickle, salad, kismur, jalebi, fish curry and rice The crabs are too good Our bill is less than Rs 1,000. I don’t think I ever saw so many crabs for less than Rs 400. Great price. Rs 300 for prawns thali with five big prawns is also a good price That was such a lovely lunch. Thank you to Maria. She is the one who said ‘chalo, today is just you and me. No one else is there, let's go far, to Canacona and have crab. And I'm really grateful to her because the drive here was so lovely, the drive back via the coast is even more beautiful and, I really enjoyed my prawns thali I must say, the fish curry was very different to what we are used to, and it's very true as Maria says, no two fish curries are the same but this was really different. Not your regular, but very tasty and spicy. The fried prawns were awesome, bhaji was nice, kismur was so great with the mackerel. I really liked that the fish curry today was of baby kingfish. Only the teesrio was a bit of a miss. And the sol kari was very good and so nice of them to give us a sweet jalebi, which Maria enjoyed Lovely place, guys Enjoy life.
