Can you really camp at an old Railway Station? | Motorhome Adventures UK

In this video, we move on from a peaceful wild night out in the woods and head towards Reepham in Norfolk, stopping to visit David’s dad at his antique shop in Watton before tackling some very narrow country lanes. Our destination is something a little different — Whitwell & Reepham railway station, where we spend the night at the neighbouring campsite right next to the historic line. The boys love trains, so this one was always going to be a winner. We arrive in winter conditions, get a warm welcome from Steve, and settle onto our hard-standing pitch with electric hook-up and water, with facilities available on site. At £27 for the night, it’s a great value stop — and you can really imagine how brilliant it must be in the summer when the railway is fully running. We explore the old station, head out for food, return for breakfast the next morning, and even get lucky when one of the engineers kindly lets the boys take a look inside one of the trains, despite nothing running that day. 👉 Stay tuned to the end, as we also share details about an exciting charity challenge we’re taking on in support of Childline (part of the NSPCC). 🚐 Campsite & Location Details Whitwell & Reepham Railway Station Campsite Station Road Whitwell Norfolk NR10 4GA United Kingdom Approx. cost: £27 per night (hard standing with hook-up) ❤️ Charity Challenge – Supporting Childline (NSPCC) This year Childline turns 40, and it also happens to be the year we both turn 40.
