How I mix earth tones from orange in watercolour

I love a good earth tone pigment, but how do you mix earth tones without them? Today I'll be sharing how I like to mix a variety of yellow and brown hues by mixing orange with primaries and secondaries. All while showing you the painting process of a mountain lion portrait using those mixes! Colour theory is one of the earliest things beginner painters will start learning, and there are a plethora of resources out there covering the basics. This builds upon the basics, and assumes you are already somewhat familiar with the most basic concepts. I will mention some foundational concepts such as complementary colours, as well as near-complements. Some of the colour theory covered may offer you a surprising new range of mixing options.
