This will be a hot episode, I promise! In the new video, you'll meet three characters – Galya, Kristina, and Lyubov. We'll learn about the country's history and culture, local traditions, food, medicine, education, housing prices, and much more. ▶ GALINA Our first heroine is Galya, 28 years old, and she's lived in Kuala Lumpur for 11 of those years, married to a Malay-Indian. She moved here with her parents in 2008 because her father's work contract began here. Galya graduated from a local university, and five years later, when their contract ended, they were due to leave. But then Galya met her future husband and stayed in Malaysia. Galya now works as a guide, so we'll hear a fascinating story about the country's history and culture, the must-sees in Kuala Lumpur and Malaysia in general, and a comprehensive insight into the daily lives of the Malays. With Galya, we'll stroll through residential areas and some of Kuala Lumpur's landmarks. One of the most striking things about Kuala Lumpur is how skyscrapers peacefully coexist with dilapidated wooden houses. So, not far from the Petronas Twin Towers, the tallest twin towers in the world, traditional single-story Malay houses are located. A small plot of land here can cost millions of dollars, yet people continue to live in these simple houses, so as not to change their traditional way of life. ▶ KRISTINA The second heroine is Kristina from Estonia. She moved to Kuala Lumpur with her husband, whom she met while working in Finland, and they began a close relationship in the United States. Now their family divides their time between Estonia and Malaysia. Kristina will talk about her move to Malaysia, her work, her daily life, and her leisure time. We will also visit Kristina and learn about their daily life. Honestly, I was amazed by her apartment in Kuala Lumpur; there's one moment there that I've only seen in movies. What is it? You'll see it in the video. ▶ LOVE The third heroine, Lyubov, will take us on a stroll through Putrajaya, the administrative capital of Malaysia. In 2009, she first came to Kuala Lumpur for a student conference and was inspired to intern at KL. In 2010, she arrived and ultimately stayed. Lyubov will tell us why she converted to Islam, what initially shocked her about life in Kuala Lumpur, why this country was like America in the jungle for her, and how she feels about Malaysia now.
