Outside the window, there was endless jungle and monkeys, and the train was hurtling like an airplane. Closer to the capital, more and more concrete emerged from the jungle. Multi-level overpasses, tall buildings, and walkways between them that seemed to be in the air. We don't have much of that here. The train pulls into the main station, and you'll encounter all sorts of people here; they don't even resemble the tribes of the Oceanic islands. The streets are a true vision of the future. Specifically, here it's somewhat reminiscent of Bangkok, and like everywhere else in Asia, the contrasts are stark. Just around the corner are homeless people, police, and garbage, and right on the concrete sits a man reading the Koran. On this street, with its peeling, moldy houses and barbed-wire fences, dozens of massage parlors have opened, one after another. They offer more than just massages, and they're very aggressive in their approach. Some of the girls work outside the parlors; some sit and wait for clients, others sleep right on the benches. I was so engrossed in these beauties that I almost trampled a family with children sleeping on a cardboard box. #vovakarmanov #malaysia #kualalumpur #asia
