Growing Tanzania's Commercial Forestry Sector
The Forestry Development Trust (FDT) was established by Gatsby Africa in 2013 to carry out its long-term vision for the commercial forestry sector in Tanzania. Since its inception, FDT has worked with partners towards the transformation of Tanzania’s commercial forestry sector, promoting approaches that result in increased tree growers’ income, employment and government revenue. This video highlights the programme’s interventions, successes, and challenges over the past year as well as its future aspirations.
