Description: We begin this walk at Maggie’s Bridge car park and head across the field and farm and start our ascent with Black Crag at our side. This gives us most of our height for today and the views open up to our left as we approach the summit of Gavel Fell. We descend and ascend to reach our second, and highest Wainwright of the day, Blake Fell. Then take a steady descent to Burnbank Fell heading. As we approach Loweswater the views are spectacular as we take the corpse road into Holme Wood and then exiting at Loweswater’s shores we complete the walk. This is one of the best walks in The Lake District national park in terms of easy to do walks. A fantastic walk for those bagging Wainwrights.
