Caterham Academy 2021 Round 4 - Silverstone F1 Circuit with Tiff Needell!

It's time for round 4 of the Caterham Academy Championship! This time it's a special race, not only is it being held at the home of British Formula 1 at Silverstone, but for the first time and the only time this season, both the white and green group will be on track together. This means there will be nearly 50 cars lining up on the grid! With typical British weather, Paul gambled on low grip tyres in wet weather, resulting in a 14th place qualification. Unfortunately, he then had to start in 19th place on the grid, due to the way the grid was formed of the white and green groups. To make matters even worse, Paul ended up with 3 points on his racing license as a result of missing the chequered flag in qualifying and carrying on! What a plonker! With none other than Tiff Needell commentating and interviewing drivers, the cars lined up for the race, where the track was thankfully dry! Paul had another amazing start to the race, gaining four places before reaching the first corner! On the penultimate lap, Paul continued to make progress, unfortunately leading to a collision caused by Gareth Lucas, ruining his race at the Grand Prix track. As we all know these things can happen in racing and there are no hard feelings towards the slightly over enthusiastic Gareth, who was penalised by the stewards with points on his license plus a 5-place grid penalty for the next race at Brands Hatch. Another difficult race for Paul, but congratulations to all the Winners during the weekend! Onto the next race at Brands Hatch, where Paul hopes to finally get a podium!
